The Department of Computer Science and Engineering ( C S E ) was established in 1985 to run the four year undergraduate programme in Computer Science and Engineering discipline. The Department also started Post Graduate programme in Computer Science and Engineering discipline in the year 2007. The curriculum of these courses is meticulously designed by the members of board of studies, Nagarjuna University, Nagarjuna Nagar, Guntur. The syllabus for the said courses is being constantly modified update the latest developments in the market fields. Excellent infrastructure and equipment is provided for the students, so that our students come out with knowledge of latest technology in both software and hardware. The Internet facility with 10 Mbps Leased Line connectivity has been extended to all the students at free of cost through 1 Giga bit Fiber Optic backbone network.
The mission of the Computer Science and Engineering Department is to educate students in the principles and practices of computer science, for careers in software development and computing technology, and for a lifetime of learning.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is committed for research at the intersections of knowledge domains within computer science and between computer science and other disciplines, especially where such research can empower the human potential in service to science and society. We will reinforce, extend, and diversify our strengths in interdisciplinary innovation and collaboration while striving to become recognized for addressing critical, scientifically important problems.
We have program educational objectives for our Computer Science and Engineering Program. Program educational objectives are broad statements that describe the career and professional accomplishments that the program is preparing graduates to achieve. These objectives describe the expected accomplishments of our graduates during their graduation.
Our Computer Science and Engineering program objectives are:
- Core Competence: To provide students with a strong foundation in the mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve and analyze engineering problems and to pursue higher studies.
- Preparation: To prepare the students for a successful career meeting the requirements of Industry.
- Breadth: To develop an ability to analyze the requirements of the software, understand the technical specifications, design and provide novel engineering solutions.
- Professionalism: To inculcate in students professional and ethical attitude, effective communication skills, leadership, teamwork skills, multidisciplinary approach, and an ability to relate engineering issues to broader social context.
- Learning Environment: To engage in life-long learning and to remain current in their profession.
